Traditionally Vancouver is saying goodbye to July on the last day of that month by having a big fireworks party in English Bay.
Have been to many in years gone by. With my husband, my Mom, with friends. I must admit that years ago the show was much more technical and intricate, where nations from other continents competed against each other. More than once I thought that the Chinese team was by fare the best technically and musically.
On the other hand, I have never seen so many watercrafts taking to the Bay to get close to it. I mean, the introduction of paddleboard makes it so easy now to bring it to Bay and make a splash in the waves. Also many drones – can’t remember seeing them in old times. Granted, it has been more than 10years likely since I went to the Fireworks.
My two friends started properly under the Burrard Bridge on the their paddleboards. I used the old technique – my two legs to go to the beach and settle on a comfortable rock, right on edge of water.
